Katherine Ruby, PhD, is a seasoned professional in the field of medical science liaison and clinical development, currently serving as a Senior Medical Science Liaison at Octave and as the Head of Field Medical for Atheris Consulting. Katherine has extensive experience in neurology and rare diseases, including significant roles at Praxis Precision Medicines and argenx, where contributions included facilitating clinical trial site engagement and supporting numerous Phase 2-3b studies. Prior experience with Novartis encompassed medical launch activities, onboarding training for new MSLs, and competitive strategy involvement. Katherine's early career included scientific roles in biomarker and protein specialist positions, complemented by a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from UC San Diego and a BS in Biochemistry from Michigan State University.
