James Walker

James Walker is a seasoned design professional currently serving as the Director of Design at AG1 since October 2024, focusing on health and longevity. Previously, Walker held the position of Creative Director at YETI from April 2021 to October 2024, where leadership in the in-house brand design team garnered the 2024 Ad Age In-House Agency of the Year award. Earlier experience includes roles as Assistant Professor and Associate Professor of Practice at The University of Texas at Austin, and extensive involvement in design through James Walker Design, which spanned various industries. Additional experience includes lectureships at Washington University in St. Louis and the Santa Reparata International School of Art, as well as brand management and art direction roles at OBATA and The Lawrence Group. Academic credentials consist of an MFA in Visual Communication/Design from Virginia Commonwealth University and a BFA in Communication Design from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
