Ozgur Aslan is a distinguished academic and researcher in the field of computational science and engineering, currently serving as a Visiting Professor at the University of Oxford since September 2024. Aslan holds a long-term position as a Professor and Director of the Computational Science and Engineering Laboratory at Atilim University, having progressed through various roles since July 2013. Additionally, Aslan is the Founder and Director of CENT: Computational Engineering Technologies, a position held since March 2014. Previous experience includes roles as a Research Scientist at Los Alamos National Laboratory and a Postdoctoral Scholar at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Centre des Matériaux, Mines ParisTech. Aslan's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Computational Mechanics from Mines Paris - PSL, complemented by an M.Sc. from the University of Stuttgart and dual degrees in Civil Engineering and a minor in Physics from Middle East Technical University.
