Mark Adams has a diverse work experience in various industries. Mark started their career as an Air Force Officer in the Canadian Armed Forces from 2004 to 2017. After that, they worked as a Process Engineer at BHP and Freeport-McMoRan in 2004 and 2005 respectively. Mark then joined Teck Resources as a Process Engineer from 2006 to 2010, where they were involved in daily operations and maintenance support, as well as leading capital projects. Later, they joined Glencore as a Senior Process Engineer from 2010 to 2013, where they were responsible for business development, process design, and technical support. From 2014 to 2021, Mark held various roles at Metso, including Director of Proposals & Estimation and Vice President of Proposals Management, leading global teams in the minerals processing field. Mark'smost recent experience, since 2021, has been at AtkinsRéalis, where they have held roles such as Vice President of Global Business Development and Vice President of the Simandou Project Support. Mark has worked on projects involving engineering, procurement, construction, and controls teams, as well as market P&L responsibilities and global leadership team membership. Throughout their career, Mark has demonstrated strong leadership skills, achieving significant revenue growth and leading successful teams.

Mark Adams has a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Mining & Mineral Processing Engineering from The University of British Columbia. Mark also holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Consulting & Strategic Management from the same university. Mark has completed an Executive Education program in Global Leadership from Aalto University, an Executive Education program in Board Governance Essentials from the Institute of Corporate Directors, an Executive Education program in Executive Leadership Development from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and an Executive Education program in Board Chair from the Institute of Corporate Directors. Additionally, Mark obtained a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) certification from Engineers and Geoscientists BC in 2010.
