Vanessa O'Brien-McMasters, Ed.D. has a strong background in academia and institutional effectiveness. Vanessa began their career at Union County College as an Assessment & Retention Counselor and later worked as an Enrollment Specialist. Vanessa then joined Camden County College and held various positions, including Director of Transfer Services and Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Planning. In 2013, they became Dean of Academic Operations at Camden County College. More recently, they have served as the Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness and Chief Strategy Officer at Atlantic Cape Community College, where they provide strategic leadership and oversees planning, research, and assessment functions.

Vanessa O'Brien-McMasters, Ed.D. completed their education at several prestigious institutions. Vanessa obtained their Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Pennsylvania in 2015. Prior to that, they earned a Master's Degree in Counselor Education - Higher Education and PA Secondary School Counselor Certification from West Chester University of Pennsylvania in 1996. Their undergraduate education was at Rutgers University - Douglass College, where they received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in American Studies in 1993.
