Geralda Xavier

Chief Medical Officer, Hackettstown & Newton Medical Centers at Atlantic Health System

Geralda Xavier is the current Chief Medical Officer of Hackettstown & Newton Medical Centers at Atlantic Health System. Geralda has previously served as the System Chairman & Medical Director of Hackensack Meridian Health, and as the Chairman & Medical Director of UPMC Susquehanna Williamsport Regional Medical Center. Geralda has also been the Chief Quality Officer & Associate Chief Medical Officer of NYC Health + Hospitals.

Geralda Xavier went to Brooklyn College for their Bachelor's degree in Chemistry. Geralda then attended Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School for their Doctor of Medicine (MD). After that, they completed a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Epidemiology at Rutgers University. Finally, they obtained their Master of Business Administration - MBA in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee. Geralda also has various certifications, including Certified Improvement Advisor from IHI, High Reliability Organization from Outcome Engenuity LLC, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from the Institute for healthcare quality research and education, Fellow American College of Emergency Physician from the American College of Emergency Physicians, and Emergency Medicine from the American Board of Emergency Medicine.

Geralda Xavier reports to Brian Gragnolati, President and Chief Executive Officer. Geralda Xavier works with Kevin Lenahan - EVP, Chief Business & Strategy Officer, Lisa Monfredi - VP, Revenue Cycle, and Donna Watridge - Chief Nursing Officer, Hackettstown Medical Center and Newton Medical Center.
