Amelia Broman has diverse work experience in fields such as process engineering, physics, journalism, and research. In 2021, they worked as a Process Engineer at Atomica. Prior to that, they held multiple roles at Carleton College, including Electricity and Magnetism Problem Solving Facilitator and Introductory Physics Laboratory Assistant in 2021. From 2017 to 2021, Amelia worked at The Carletonian, where they were the Editor In Chief, overseeing a student-run newsroom and managing various responsibilities such as publication, budgeting, and communications. Amelia also contributed as a Writer, incorporating data journalism into their work. Additionally, they served as the News Section Editor and Features and Arts Section Editor. In 2020, Amelia worked as an Atomic and Nuclear Physics Problem Solving Facilitator at Carleton College and as a Physics REU Student at the University of California, Davis, where they conducted computational physics research. In 2019, they were a Polymer Science REU Student at the University of Minnesota, where they conducted research on improving the mechanical properties of recycled plastic blends.

Amelia Broman completed their education from 2013 to 2017 at Saint John's Preparatory School, where they obtained their High School Diploma. Later, from 2017 to 2021, they attended Carleton College and earned a Bachelor's degree in Physics. In 2019, Amelia participated in a Study Abroad Program at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).
