Mehdi Afiatpour

Mehdi Afiatpour serves as the Managing Director at Afiatpour Asset Management Group since February 2007 and as the Global Head of Business Development for 5G, MEC, IoT & AI Solutions at Atos since January 2022. Afiatpour recently held the position of Technical Advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors at Avesha, a pioneering technology platform in application workload disaggregation. Previous experience includes significant roles at Ericsson, such as Head of ICT & Business Development, where strategic initiatives spurred growth in Cloud and IoT, and the Vice President and CIO for the Customer Unit United Kingdom, driving business across major accounts. Afiatpour's career began with foundational roles in marketing and technical sales management at Ericsson and Sprint Nextel’s Xohm business unit. Educational qualifications encompass an Executive MBA in Sales & Marketing from Ibmec, an M.Sc in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications from Universidade Estadual de Campinas, and a Bachelor's in Electronics from Universidade Federal de Pernambuco.
