Rob Darrington

Rob Darrington has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Rob has worked in various leadership roles and has shown expertise in restructuring and driving growth in different organizations.

In their most recent role as Vice President of Global Research & Development at SP Industries, Inc., they restructured engineering teams to improve alignment and reduce project overruns. Rob also led three plants, generating $60 million in annual revenue.

Prior to that, as the Vice President of Product Management at SP Industries, they built and trained a team of product managers and successfully integrated an acquisition, resulting in $15 million in new sales.

As the Sales & Marketing Director at Prior Scientific, Rob restructured the sales and marketing team, achieving sales growth of 9%. Rob also established a new office in China and improved customer support.

During their tenure as the Director of Business Development and EMEAA Marketing at SP Scientific, they played a key role in growing the business unit's EBITDA and introducing innovative products.

At Fisher Scientific, Rob managed an antitrust divesture and achieved consistent growth in revenue and profitability for Genevac. Rob also researched and developed new product ranges, leading to 18% revenue growth.

Before that, at Genevac Ltd, Rob served as a Product Manager and Sales Engineer, driving improvements in product lines and successfully securing global contracts.

Rob began their career as a Sales Engineer at Glen Creston Ltd.

Rob Darrington has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Southampton, which they obtained from 1994 to 1997. Rob later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from De Montfort University, from 2005 to 2007. Most recently, Rob completed a Technology Leadership Certificate from Cornell University in 2020.
