Jim Welch

Jim Welch is a seasoned professional in cultural resources management with extensive experience spanning several decades. Currently serving as Senior Cultural Resources Specialist at Atwell, LLC since 2017, Jim has a strong background in project management, archaeology, and environmental consulting. Previous roles include Cultural Resources Workgroup Manager at Kadrmas Lee & Jackson, and Cultural Resources Department Manager at AECOM, where Jim oversaw teams across multiple states. Jim's leadership capabilities were further highlighted as Director of Operations for the West Region at Cultural Resource Analysts, Inc., and as Archaeology Department Manager at Western Land Services, Inc. With a solid educational foundation comprising a Master of Arts in Archaeology and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of South Florida, Jim is recognized for building and managing successful teams and operations in various cultural resource sectors.
