Dr. Mary Mazurek

Dr. Mary Mazurek serves as an Assistant Professor of Digital Audio Arts at The University of Lethbridge since August 2022, while also holding the position of Diversity and Inclusion Chairperson for the Audio Engineering Society since January 2021. As an Interdisciplinary Artist with a focus on new media art, Dr. Mazurek explores themes of meditation, memory, and nature. Prior experience includes a nearly three-decade tenure as a Recording Engineer/Producer at 98.7 WFMT Broadcasting and roles as an Adjunct Professor at both DePaul University and Columbia College Chicago, where teaching encompassed various aspects of audio production. Dr. Mazurek holds a PhD in Aesthetics, Philosophy, and Art Theory from IDSVA, an MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts-Media from Columbia College Chicago, and a BSM in Sound Recording Technology from DePaul University.
