Robert Alexander, PhD has a long and varied work experience. In 2010, they were the Director of MiND Ensemble and a Computer Music Instructor at Interlochen Center for the Arts. In 2007, they were a Graduate Student Research Assistant at the University of Michigan. In 2011, they were a JPFP Fellow at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, and in 2010 they began their Design Science PhD at the University of Michigan, specializing in Sonification. In 2015, they were the Chief Innovation Officer for the Munger Graduate Residence Program at the University of Michigan. From 2016 to 2018, they were the Psychology Department Stream Leader and Teaching Fellow at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Design (PolyU Design). Finally, in 2018, they became the Co-Founder and CEO of Auralab Technologies Inc., where they created their flagship platform, Breathscape, which was released in Q1 2020.

Robert Alexander, PhD, has a long history of education. Robert began their studies in 2002 at the University of Michigan, where they earned a Bachelors of Performing Arts Technology (PAT). Robert continued their studies at the University of Michigan, earning an M.A in Media Arts in 2009. Finally, in 2015 they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Design Science from the University of Michigan.
