Bruce Weston

Bruce Weston has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Bruce currently holds the position of Director, North East Metro Health Service Partnership at Austin Health, a role they have held since October 2021. Bruce is also the Board Secretary and Corporate Governance Manager at Austin Health. In addition, they serve as a Board Director at Thorne Harbour Health since December 2020.

Previously, Bruce worked at Defence Health Ltd from December 2019 to April 2020 as the Head of Provider Relations. Bruce also took on the role of Acting Head of Benefits Management from July 2019 to December 2019, and was a Provider Relations Manager from April 2019 to July 2019.

Before that, they served as the Public Hospital Benefits and Relationship Manager at Medibank from April 2017 to April 2019. Prior to Medibank, Bruce worked at Alfred Health as a Senior Consultant from May 2015 to April 2017, and at Australian Healthcare Associates as a Senior Consultant from May 2014 to May 2015.

Bruce has also worked at Rural Health Workforce Australia (RHWA) as Manager, Programs from April 2011 to May 2014, and at The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital as a Project Manager from 2010 to 2011. Bruce started their career at Epworth as a Group Policy and Compliance Officer from 2008 to 2010.

Bruce Weston completed a Company Director Course - Graduate at the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2021. From 2019 to 2022, they pursued a Master of Health Administration at Monash University. Bruce also obtained a Graduate Certificate in Communications from the University of Melbourne in 2006-2007. In 1998-2002, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) from Deakin University.
