Head Of Talent Pathways at Australian Football League

Grant Williams has a diverse work experience that spans over multiple industries. Grant started their career in consulting structural engineering and worked for nearly 15 years in various engineering practices. In 2001, they transitioned into sports administration and management, joining AFL SportsReady as a Project Manager for the "Next Goal" Program. After that, they served as the General Manager of Football Operations at Carlton Football Club from 2003 to 2007. Grant then worked with AFL Victoria as the Development Strategy & Operations Manager from 2009 to 2011, and later became the General Manager at AFL Victoria Limited from 2011 to 2014. Grant also held several positions within the AFL, including National Talent Development & Competitions Manager, Head of Umpiring, and Head of Community & International Development. Currently, they are the Head of Talent Pathways at the AFL - Australian Football League.

Grant Williams attended RMIT University from 1983 to 1986, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering.
