Sofia Gerretsen is a dedicated Computer Engineering student at Queen's University, with extensive experience in both athletics and engineering. Currently serving as a Research and Development Intern at the Automotive Parts Manufacturers' Association and competing as a League 1 Ontario athlete with Masters FA, Sofia has previously been a Computer Vision Software Engineer at QMIND, contributing to AI-driven projects presented at the Canadian Universities Conference on Artificial Intelligence. As a member of various soccer teams, including St. Lawrence College’s Women's Varsity Soccer Team and the Unionville Milliken Soccer Club, Sofia has showcased strong athletic prowess while also receiving the OCAA All-Academic Award for academic excellence. Other roles include coaching positions at North Toronto Soccer and contributions to the Queen's Hyperloop Design Team as a Power Systems Engineer, demonstrating a blend of technical skills and leadership in sports and engineering contexts.
