Tanya Pieters-Gorissen

Tanya Pieters-Gorissen has extensive experience in the financial and legal fields. Tanya currently holds the position of Head of Capital Markets Integrity supervision at Autoriteit Financiële Markten since September 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Head of Asset Management supervision at the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets from January 2016 to September 2022.

Tanya's earlier work experience includes serving as the Head a.i. Capital Markets Supervision at Autoriteit Financiële Markten, where they were responsible for capital markets supervision, including market abuse, prospectus directive, public takeover bids, and infrastructure. Tanya also held the positions of Manager Capital Markets Supervision and Manager Securities Offerings & Takeover Bids during their tenure at the company from 2005 to 2015.

Before joining Autoriteit Financiële Markten, Tanya worked as a lawyer specializing in securities law at Lovells from 2001 to 2005. Prior to that, they held a similar role at Arthur Andersen (Andersen Legal) from 1998 to 2001, focusing on corporate law and securities law. Tanya started their legal career at Stibbe, working as a lawyer from 1994 to 1998.

With a strong background in both financial regulation and securities law, Tanya brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to their current role in ensuring integrity in capital markets.

Tanya obtained a Master's degree in Civil Law/Corporate Law from Leiden University, where they studied from 1988 to 1994. Additionally, they attended the University of London's Queen Mary & Westfield College in 1993.
