This is a remote role based anywhere within the UK or one of our European countries of operation. You must be a permanent resident of that country and legally authorised to work there.

The Department

Autovista’s financial reporting and accounting team is responsible for maintaining the financial accounts in accordance with the accounting standards in the relevant countries and for the accurate financial reporting of Autovista Group’s subsidiaries, including month end reporting and annual financial statements. The team is split into three geographical regions, each led by a Head of Financial Accounting and Reporting.

The Role

As a Financial Reporting Accountant, you will be supporting the Financial Reporting and Accounting Lead for our Austrian and Swiss entities. This includes monthly closing tasks such as posting accruals, revenue recognition and reconciliations. During the month, you will work closely with other departments such as account payable and checking their postings such as supplier invoices, travel expenses and credit card statements, in accordance with legal and internal requirements. You will do the bank reconciliation and report the weekly cash numbers to the group. Further tasks include checking intercompany invoices, processing customer refunds, monitoring the shared accounting mailbox and supporting with audits.

The Candidate

We are looking for someone with an accounting education who has attention to detail and accuracy. You can communicate fluently in German and English and know your way around finance systems and Excel. You feel comfortable working fully remotely and are able to organize yourself to meet all deadlines. Communication and reliability are among your strengths. You are also characterized by your good team spirit. You are flexible and like to help other teams. You can follow processes precisely and carry them out responsibly.
