Shantha Diaz

In her role as Avalon Healthcare Solutions’ Chief Operating Officer, Shantha Diaz leads the Information Technology, Claims & Clinical Operations, Policy Development, Quality, Clinical Configuration, Client Implementation, and Corporate Development activities.

Prior to joining Avalon in 2017, Shantha was Chief Operating Officer of Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island. In that capacity, she helped implement ACA, launched three new product lines, doubled the plan’s membership, and contributed to increasing the company’s revenue to $1.1 Billion dollars.

Shantha previously served as Staff VP of Medical Business Solutions at Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. She also spent several years in information technology roles at Humana, International Data Group, and Toyota.

Shantha holds a BS in Finance and Accounting from the University of Bombay and a PG in Computer Applications from India’s National Institute of Information Technology.
