Sofia Khazal has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Sofia started their career in 2010 as a Vårditräde at Malmö Stad, where they supported elderly individuals with daily tasks and had responsibilities in medication and respiratory care. In 2012, they transitioned to Prefence, a small family-owned company, where they worked as a Produktutvecklare/design, focusing on developing and selling equipment and accessories for transport vehicles. Sofia held this position until 2016.

In 2016, Sofia joined Howden as a Consultant: Product Engineer, specializing in the construction and modification of axial fans. Sofia worked there until November 2016. Later that year, they joined Andritz as a Consultant: Rendering E-shop, where they rendered images for a spare part directory, making it easier to handle spare parts.

In 2017, Sofia joined Avalon Innovation as a Design Engineer, Mechanics, responsible for developing products. Sofia later became a Team Leader and Product Developer for Växjö/Ljungby Office, overseeing a team and managing product development. In 2018, they were promoted to Team Leader & Design Engineer, leading the product development team for Malmö. Sofia has been with Avalon Innovation since then.

In 2018, they also joined BorgWarner Inc. as a Consultant: Product Engineer, Mechanical Lead. Sofia was appointed Mech-lead for two transfer projects and focused on new product development, improvement, and maintenance. Sofia worked on JLR d7a and Vinfast projects until July 2021.
