Rathan Joy Komban

Rathan Joy Komban, PhD has a diverse work experience in the field of research and academia. Rathan Joy currently serves as a Team Lead in Research Services at Avantor since January 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Lab Manager - Flex Lab CoE Lead at VWR, part of Avantor, starting from April 2022. From March 2019 to May 2022, Rathan worked as a Lab Manager in Flex Lab, FACs Hub, and Blood & Tissue Lab at VWR onsite lab manager at Astra Zeneca. Rathan Joy also worked as a Research Scientist in Pharmacology at Toleranzia AB from September 2018 to February 2019. Earlier in their career, Rathan served as a Visiting Researcher, Project Assistant, and Doctoral Studies at Sahlgrenska Academy at Gothenburg University from September 2011 to August 2018. Rathan Joy also worked as a Program Coordinator & Lecturer at University of Skövde from August 2008 to June 2011, where they provided administrative support and service to staff and students in the department of Molecular Biology.

Rathan Joy Komban, PhD has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Medical Sciences from the University of Gothenburg. Prior to that, they completed a Masters degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Skövde in 2008. Rathan Joy also holds a Master's degree in Biotechnology from Bharathiar University (2005) and a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, General from the same university (2003). In addition to their educational background, they have obtained a certification in Applied Project Management from Wenell Management AB in 2021.
