Job description

Avation Medical is actively recruiting an engineering Intern to work in research and development and manufacturing activities related to the Vivally System, the first FDA-cleared physiological closed-loop wearable neuromodulation system to treat symptoms of overactive bladder in adults. This role will be pivotal in supporting Vivally hardware development and testing, including design, fabrication, analysis, and documentation.

Responsibilities
• Create electrical and mechanical designs and prototype parts
• Actively participate R&D activities and new product development
• Design test setups, conduct system testing and create test reports
• Design, build and validate production processes and manufacturing equipment
• Create manufacturing and quality documentation and processes
• Support all design, analysis, testing and modeling activites for medical devices

Qualifications
• Academic focus on electrical, mechanical, systems or software engineering
• Relevant coursework, such as design, programming, testing, circuits, controls, lab work
• Analytical mind, with ability to learn quickly and apply technical knowledge
• Familiarity with Python, Matlab, LabVIEW, or other similar tools
• Independent, creative, collaborative with strong positive can-do attitude
• Availability from August to December 2024
