Omar Javaid

Omar Javaid serves as the Chief Product Officer at Avaya, overseeing global product development, partnerships, and alliances since June 2023. Prior to this role, Omar held senior positions at several notable technology companies, including Senior Vice President and General Manager at Qualcomm from June 2021 to September 2022, and President of Nexmo at Vonage from August 2015 to June 2021, where full P&L responsibility was managed for the second largest communication API platform. Additional experience includes leadership roles at TiVo, Hewlett-Packard, Motorola, and Qualcomm where Omar focused on product management, marketing, and business development in the mobile and wireless technology sectors. Omar co-founded and served as CEO of Mobilocity from 1999 to 2002, contributing to the early development of smartphones and mobile software. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Michigan, alongside advanced business training from Harvard Business School and various certifications in risk management and hypnotherapy.
