Miriam Camero, JD, LMSW has worked as the Vice President of Programs & Operations at Avenue since September 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of Vice President for Social Programs at the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services (RAICES) starting in 2016.

Miriam Camero completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Philosophy and a Bachelor of Social Work degree at The University of Texas at Austin from 2007 to 2011. Miriam further pursued their education and obtained a Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) degree with a specialization in Clinical/Medical Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin in 2012. Their educational journey continued as they attended the University of Houston Law Center, where they earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from 2012 to 2015.
