Shawn Kinnear has a diverse education background. From 1985 to 1987, they attended Utah Valley University and earned an Associate's degree in Business Administration and Management, General. In 1989, they enrolled in Brigham Young University and briefly studied European Studies/Civilization before transferring to Brigham Young University–Hawaii. Shawn spent the years 1989 to 1992 at Brigham Young University–Hawaii, where they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services.
