Fernando Trevino

Fernando Trevino has been in the Quality Assurance field since 1987. Fernando has worked for multiple companies, beginning with Vitro, where they held the role of Planning, Quality, Environment, Safety and Health Manager. In this role, they were responsible for inspection and packing products, as well as laboratory tests for glass bottles, boxes, labels and printings, and wood pallets. Fernando also implemented Ergonomics, Safety and Health Programs and implemented the Medical Department and the Integral Health System. Fernando then moved to Nortel Networks, where they held the role of Quality Manager, responsible for negotiation and adapting the products, processes and engineering to the customer requirements, as well as ISO 9000:2000 certification and maintenance. After this, they took on a role as Quality Project Manager for Special Projects. Fernando then moved to OCA Hospital, where they held the role of Quality & Operations Director for a one-year project. In this role, they were responsible for quality assurance of clinical procedures, patient safety, continuous improvement projects, and managing engineering, maintenance, safety and security departments. Fernando also achieved ISO 9001:2000, Distinctive “H” (Food Safety) certification, ISO 15189:2007 certification, and Joint Commission International Accreditation. Fernando then moved to Lighting Science Group Corporation, where they held the role of Quality Manager and was responsible for the development of World Class Quality Systems. Fernando then moved to Avidyne, where they held the role of Quality Assurance Director. In this role, they achieved AS9100D and ISO9001 certification in 2019, made changes in the workflow and layout of the quality department improving the efficiency by 25% and reducing errors in 50%, and implemented production metrics (Yields, DPMO, etc.), KPIs, and Risk Management.

Fernando Trevino began their educational career in 1977 when they obtained their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. Fernando then went on to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from the Universidad Regiomontana S.C., which they completed in 1995. In 1985, they returned to the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León to obtain their Master's Degree in Public Health and Work Health.
