Bob Hendrikx is a Robotics Engineer at Avular since December 2022, focusing on developing perception and control software for mobile robots using C++ and Python. Prior to this role, Bob was a Doctoral Candidate at Technische Universiteit Eindhoven from October 2017 to September 2022, concentrating on map representations and localization algorithms for indoor mobile robots, particularly in cluttered environments utilizing Building Information Models. Bob's experience includes a master's thesis internship at Erasmus MC, where recursive estimation and model predictive control were applied to cancer treatment, and internships at Aalborg University, TU/e, MARIN, Ingenieursbureau Fortan B.V., and Goma BV, covering various engineering and control systems topics. Bob holds a PhD in Robotics and a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from HAN University of Applied Sciences.
