Janelle Ward

Janelle Ward has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Janelle currently works as an Executive Assistant to the Chief Astronaut/Director of Human Spaceflight at Axiom Space. Prior to that, they worked as a CAD Coordinator at Austin Industrial, Inc. where they maintained the filing system and collaborated with process engineers and capital project vendors. Before that, Janelle worked as a CAD Coordinator at BEI Engineers, where they were responsible for coordinating CAD work. Janelle also has experience as a Drafter II at Willbros Engineers, Inc. where they updated drawings and created piping isos. Janelle started their career as an Executive Administrative Coordinator at Willbros Downstream/Construction, assisting C-level and D-level executives. Janelle also has experience as a General Foreman at CAM Environmental where they sampled and monitored abatement projects. Janelle began their career in the Texas Air National Guard as an E-3/Airman 1st Class.

Janelle Ward pursued their education in a chronological order. Janelle attended the University of Houston from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Consumer Science and Merchandising, specializing in Consumer Science. Prior to that, from 2002 to 2013, Janelle attended San Jacinto College and completed an Associate of Applied Science degree in Engineering Design Graphics. Later, from 2012 to 2014, they enrolled at the University of Houston-Clear Lake to pursue a Master of Arts degree in Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia.

In addition to their formal education, Janelle also obtained additional certifications. In 2022, they completed three courses from Coursera: "Ask Questions to Make Data-Driven Decisions," "Prepare Data for Exploration," and "Foundations: Data, Data, Everywhere."
