Tim Ewing

Tim Ewing has over 30 years of work experience in environmental, health, and safety (EHS) management. Tim is currently working as an EHS Manager at Aymium since July 2022.

Before that, Tim worked at POET for 8 years, starting as an EH&S Specialist II from December 2014 to October 2020. Tim then took on the role of Sr. EHS Specialist from October 2020 to July 2022. Additionally, they served as a Health and Safety Supervisor at POET from October 2015 to October 2016.

Tim also has experience at Sanoh America, Inc, where they held various positions for over 25 years. Tim worked as a Corporate Environmental, Health, and Safety Coordinator from December 2012 to December 2014. In this role, they managed EHS functions for a single site and provided corporate oversight for 5 North America locations. Tim was responsible for auditing, budgeting, compliance, ISO 14001 activities, site reviews, regulatory updates, leadership training, and implementing safety programs.

Before that, Tim served as a Plating Supervisor at Sanoh America, Inc for 24 years, from August 1988 to December 2012. In this role, they managed a 24-hour operation, enforced EPA and OSHA regulations, led a Haz Mat team, provided leadership to 37 employees, oversaw production and quality issues, and dealt with ISO 14001 standards.

Prior to these certifications, Tim Ewing also acquired various qualifications. Tim became an EMT-Basic in December 2000 and obtained the Firefighter 1 certification in October 1999. Additionally, they completed the 40 Hr. HazWoper training in July 1999.

Looking towards the future, Tim plans to further enhance their knowledge and qualifications. Tim is scheduled to attend the OSHA #501 Trainer Course in Occupational Safety and Health Standards for General Industry at Eastern Michigan University and obtain the OSHA Authorized General Industry Trainer certification from the Great Lakes OSHA Education Center in February 2023.
