Stefan Eissler

Stefan received his Diploma in Biochemistry in 2004 at Bielefeld University and completed his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry in 2008. After a Post-Doc position at the Laboratory for Process Research in Zürich from 2008 to 2010, he joined Bachem AG in 2010 as a team leader for liquid-phase peptide synthesis. After one year, Stefan moved as a team leader to solid-phase peptide synthesis. In that role, Stefan was responsible for large-scale SPPS. In 2015, Stefan took over as director, and later solution-phase steps and TFA cleavage added to his responsibilities. In 2019, Stefan took over responsibility for downstream processing with a focus on peptide chromatography and freeze-drying as a senior director. In 2022, Stefan went back to upstream manufacturing and is Vice President of Peptide Manufacturing Upstream since.
