Yanik Omgba

Yanik Omgba has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Yanik started their career in 2011 at LuxSpace Sarl, where they worked as a Software Engineer in a team responsible for building a real-time simulator for tracking boats using AIS protocol, satellites, and ground stations.

In 2012, Yanik joined OHB ITALIA S.P.A. as an Ingénieur logiciels, where they were responsible for building a fast prototyping receiver interface that communicated with a test manager system. The goal was to track boat positions in real-time based on IQ baseband signals received from each satellite antenna.

Yanik then moved on to Amadeus in 2012, where they held multiple roles. As a Senior Software Engineer, they worked on rail IT fares and pricing components, collaborating with teams across different locations. Later, they took on the role of Software Engineer and Scrum Master, working on shopping, booking, and ticketing for a multi-content platform for Rail Distribution. Yanik also worked as a Senior Software Engineer and Technical Lead, leading a team working on after-sales projects in the Rail Distribution application.

Most recently, Yanik joined Back Market in 2022 as an Engineering Manager.

Yanik Omgba's education history begins in 2002 when they enrolled at Universite de Yaounde 1 and obtained a Licence in Informatique in 2005. Following this, they pursued further studies at the same university and completed a Bachelor's degree in Recherche opérationnelle from 2005 to 2006. In 2006, they joined Università degli Studi di Padova where they pursued a Master en ingénierie in Ingénierie informatique, which they completed in 2010. Finally, in 2010, Yanik Omgba attended Politecnico di Torino and obtained a Master 2 (M2) degree in Ingénierie informatique in 2011.
