Richard Capatosto

Richard Capatosto is an experienced IT professional with a track record of leadership and innovation in technology strategy. Currently serving as IT Manager at Backblaze since April 2021, Richard develops technology strategies in partnership with business units, provides IT product leadership, and drives financial health through budget forecasting and cost-control initiatives. Previously, Richard held roles at VMware, including Sr. Collaboration Engineer and Desktop Virtualization Architect, and contributed to system enhancements at Sunrun and Altera Corporation. Richard possesses an MBA in Entrepreneurship from Babson College and a BA in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley, along with additional credentials in Product Management.
