Andrew Sibert

Director Of UX at Backbone

Andrew Sibert has a wide range of work experience in the design and software product management fields. In 2021, they became the Lead Product Designer at Backbone, where they are currently building out a world class design team. Andrew has also led Backbone's iOS app design and over 16+ features since the product launched as the sole designer, and has functioned as product manager for multiple initiatives, defining product requirements and overseeing feature development. From 2018 to 2017, they worked as an Interaction Designer IV, III, and III at Google. During their time at Google, they served as the project lead for SCAD Collaborative Learning Center's sponsored course, researching and creating AR application concepts. Andrew also worked as a UX Design Intern on Google Maps in Seattle, designing features for ambient assistance. In 2016, they worked as an Interaction Designer for SCAD Collaborative Learning Center's sponsored course with Gulfstream Aerospace, leading interface prototyping and concept development. Andrew also worked as a UX Designer and Front-end Developer at Enzic Design and as the UX Lead for SCAD Collaborative Learning Center's sponsored course with HP, helping redesign the printer of the future. In 2015, they worked as a Service Designer and Web Developer at 2SL Design Build Collaborative.

Andrew Sibert attended the Savannah College of Art and Design from 2014 to 2018, where they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in User Experience Design with a field of study in Human Computer Interaction.
