Mikael Wahlberg

Mikael Wahlberg is an experienced technology professional with a robust background in engineering and product development. Currently serving as EVP Engineering and CTO at Backlight since April 2022, Mikael has also been the owner of Tekno since 2016, a consulting firm focused on the IT space. Previously, Mikael held key positions at iconik.io as Chief Technology Officer and VP Product Development from June 2019 to December 2022, and at Cantemo as VP Product Development from April 2016 to June 2019. Additional experience includes roles such as Technical Director at Dohi Sweden, CIO at the Swedish Standards Institute, Head of R&D Sweden at Vizrt, Product Manager for Media Asset Management at Vizrt - Ardendo, and Senior System Architect at Ardendo. Mikael began their career as a System Engineer at LITU, Umeå University. Mikael holds a Master of Science in Computing Science from Umeå University, earned in 2000.
