Arshiya Kherani has a diverse work experience. In 2010, they worked as a Government, Not-for-Profit, Healthcare (GNPH) Summer Credit Analyst at J.P. Morgan. From 2011 to 2013, they served as a Real Estate Finance & Accounting Analyst at Treeview Real Estate Advisors.

In 2014, they joined The Community Development Trust (CDT) and held multiple roles within the Community Investments team. As an Acquisitions Associate, they analyzed affordable housing acquisition opportunities and coordinated with various departments for successful closings. Arshiya then became a Senior Acquisitions Associate, responsible for underwriting potential acquisition opportunities and presenting recommendations to senior managers and the board. Finally, as an Acquisitions Consultant, they worked closely with CDT's Chief Investment Officer and Community Investments SVP to screen and underwrite potential acquisition opportunities.

From 2017 to 2020, they founded and served as the Head of Growth for Sukoon Active, a D2C brand that designs inclusive activewear and hijabs for Muslim women. Arshiya managed all aspects of the company, including supply chain management, brand strategy, and product development.

From 2020 to 2022, Arshiya worked at Common Thread Collective (CTC). Arshiya served as a Client Experience Manager (CXM), cultivating and managing client success for major brands. Arshiya also led CTC's first Employee Resource Group (ERG) dedicated to BIPOC employees, fostering a safe community and improving the experience of BIPOC employees. Additionally, they worked as a Facebook Media Buyer, building and scaling Facebook ads for DTC clients.

In 2022, Arshiya co-founded The Potluck Presents, an organization focused on facilitating human connection through storytelling. Arshiya serves as a Co-Founder and Storytelling Designer, hosting monthly interactive storytelling events to amplify unheard voices.

Currently, Arshiya is the Head of Growth, Brand & Community at Bags, where they are responsible for creating a digital brand and community that increases access to entrepreneurship. Their role includes growth marketing, brand voice, visual design, and messaging. Arshiya also focuses on organic and paid growth strategies and community-building resources for entrepreneurs.

Arshiya Kherani pursued their education chronologically, beginning with their attendance at Ruffing Montessori from 1992 to 2002. Following this, they enrolled in New York University and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics, Business Studies, and Spanish, which lasted from 2007 to 2011. Continuing their academic journey, they then attended the NYU Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service from 2012 to 2014, where they earned a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree with a specialization in Finance.

Furthermore, Arshiya Kherani has obtained additional certifications throughout their career. These certifications include "Insights For Innovation" from IDEO, acquired in August 2016, and "Facebook Certified Media Buying Professional" from Facebook, acquired in September 2020.
