Mayumi Idate

Mayumi Idate is an experienced human resources leader currently serving as Vice President of Human Resources at Bain Capital since August 2024. Prior to this role, Idate held the position of Head of People at WeWork from September 2021 to August 2024. From October 2008 to August 2021, Idate was an HR Business Partner - Executive Director at Nomura, leading the Japan Corporate HRBP team with global responsibilities for Compliance, Legal, and Strategy functions, and also provided interim coverage for the GM/Research business. Early career experiences include roles at Lehman Brothers as an HR Generalist and as an HR Advisor. Idate's academic background includes a Master's degree in Social Psychology from the University of Sussex, completed between 2005 and 2006.
