Jasmeet Bains

Jasmeet Bains, MD has a wide range of work experience in various fields. Currently, they serve as a California State Assemblymember AD 35. Prior to this role, they worked as a Medical Director at Bakersfield Recovery Services and as a Kern County Representative for the Environmental Justice Advisory Group at the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District. Jasmeet also served as a Volunteer Physician for the Central Valley Unit Medical Team at the State of California-Emergency Medical Services Authority. Additionally, Jasmeet has held positions as a Board Member for California Women Lead, Global Family Care Network, and The Taft College Foundation. Jasmeet has also been involved with the California Developmental Services Taskforce and served as the Board President of Kern Regional Center. Earlier in their career, they were a member of the Board at Turlock Auto Plaza.

Jasmeet Bains, MD completed a Primary Care Psychiatry Fellowship at UC Irvine in 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the American University of Antigua between 2009 and 2013. Their undergraduate education includes a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, General from the Illinois Institute of Technology, which was obtained from 2003 to 2006.
