CFO & Co-President at Balfour Senior Care

Trip brings to Balfour his passion for creating real property value through effective business operations. Prior to joining, Trip spent his career working in the hospitality industry. His experience is comprehensive and has included operations, hotel ownership and development, public accounting, and most recently, Divisional CFO for Vail Resorts Hospitality and Vail Resorts Real Estate overseeing its expansion while continuing his commitment to customer service. Trip has been a contributor to growth in a demanding business sector with a consumer base that constantly seeks a high value proposition as they lead highly experiential lives.

His belief that senior living is a natural extension of the hospitality and service industry coupled with Trip’s extensive experience sets the stage for innovation and improved operations as Balfour’s portfolio of communities continues to grow. Trip recently said, “I believe the senior living industry is embracing innovation right now and I am looking forward to leveraging my experience to elevate the Balfour Experience in all of their communities.”

Trip graduated from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration, where he focused on real estate development, finance, and accounting.

In addition to professional work, Trip values family and giving back to his community. He resides in Golden, CO with his wife and twin daughters and served on the Colorado Outward Bound School board for nearly a decade culminating in a two-year chairmanship.
