Rui Santos

Rui Santos is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Universitätsklinik Balgrist since March 2023, with previous experience at the University of Zurich as a Postdoctoral Researcher from October 2015 to February 2023. Rui Santos has specialized in using machine learning algorithms to decode nephron structure and function from biomedical data, employing both 2D and 3D light and electron microscopy techniques. Rui Santos holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Zurich, obtained in August 2022, and a Master's degree in Microbiology from Instituto Superior Técnico, completed in 2015. Additionally, Rui Santos earned a Bachelor's degree in Biological/Biosystems Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico in 2013 and a High School Diploma from Escola Superior Gago Coutinho in 2009.
