Cael Jones

Cael Jones has been working in the field of research and policy analysis since 2017. In that time, they have held a variety of roles with different organizations. In 2017, they worked as a Summer Help with the Canton City Government in the Parks and Recreation Department, where they kept the parks clean and maintained the sports fields. In 2018, they worked as an Urban Forestry Intern with the same organization, helping a certified arborist maintain and treat trees, consulting with residents on the health of their trees, and participating in the implementation of an ODNR grant program. In 2019, they worked as an Air Pollution Control Technician with the City of Canton, Ohio, where they monitored and inspected local establishments to ensure that they are meeting their permitting requirements. From 2020 to 2021, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at The Ohio State University, developing a machine learning algorithm to classify political news articles, and coding key word features. Currently, they are working as a Research and Policy Analyst with Climate Farmers, developing a policy framework to advocate for regenerative agriculture and creating resources to assist the organization in understanding EU agricultural policy. Cael is also working as a Research with BallotReady.

Cael Jones obtained a Bachelor's of Science in Environmental Policy and Decision Making, Political Science, and a minor in Philosophy from The Ohio State University in 2021. In 2020, they also obtained a certification in Applied Data Science with Python Specialization from Coursera.
