Sonja Markova

As the Executive Director at Band of Angels, Sonja Markova is responsible for sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities for the firm's super angel fund. Prior to their current role, Markova served as Vice President at Point Reyes Management, an asset management firm for a single family office that invests in early stage ventures, multifamily real estate, and the financial markets. Before their work in asset management, Markova was a visiting professor of venture capital at University American College Skopje. In this role, they combined the best of American and European educational experiences. Markova has also been an active angel investor member of Keiretsu Forum since 2001. Keiretsu Forum is the largest worldwide network of capital, resources, and deal flow with 53 chapters on 4 continents.

Sonja Markova has a MBA in Finance & New Ventures Management from California State University - East Bay and a BS in Management from Faculty of Economics, University "Ss. Cyril and Methodius".
