Kannan Rasappan

Kannan Rasappan has a diverse work experience in the financial and technology industries. Kannan is the Founder & CEO of Banfico, where they support banks on Open Banking compliance and competition through technology solutions. Kannan is also an Advisory Board Member at Berlin Group openFinance, working on API standards such as NextGenPSD2. Previously, Kannan worked as a PSD2 / Open Banking Advisor at Grant Thornton UK LLP. Kannan was a PSD2 Solution Architect at Lloyds Banking Group, contributing to the successful delivery of the Open Banking program. Kannan has also worked as a Senior Solutions Architect at Worldpay, an Open Banking IAM Architect & Developer at HSBC, and a Senior Designer & Developer at RBS in the field of Identity & Access Management. Prior to that, they held the position of Technical Architect at the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). Kannan has also gained experience as a CTO & Co-founder at Geogrep, a data analytics company, and as the Founder of Refind.in.

Kannan Rasappan completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Computer Science from Bharathiar University, specifically at Kumaraguru College Of Technology, from 1996 to 2000. Kannan then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Applied Mathematics & Computing at Cranfield University in the year 2002 to 2003.
