James P. Garcia

James Garcia has extensive work experience in the banking industry. James served as Executive Vice President & Chief Audit Executive at Banner Bank since 2017. Prior to that, they held the same position at Bank of Hawaii from 2001 to 2017. Before joining Bank of Hawaii, James worked at Bank of America, where they held the roles of Vice President & Audit Director from 1977 to 2001 and Vice President & Retail Audit Manager from 1993 to 1996.

James Garcia has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Business Administration and Management from Saint Mary's College of California. James also holds a certification in Mortgage Lending from the School of Mortgage Banking. In addition, they have obtained certifications in Certified Information Systems Auditor, Certification in Risk Management Assurance, and Certified Bank Auditor from respective institutions.
