Verenice Amante

Verenice Amante has a diverse background in data science and risk management. Verenice started their career as a Risk Assessment and Control Analyst at CONSAR, where they developed visible output using statistical theories and analyzed Mexican financial institutions. Verenice then worked as a Credit Risk Analyst at FINSOL, conducting data analysis to evaluate default risk for micro-entrepreneurs. Verenice later joined BBVA as a Risk Model Internal Validation Analyst, where they managed the rating and validation of credit risk parameter models. Verenice then moved to Grupo Financiero Banorte, where they served as a Data Scientist Senior and Risk Model Senior Manager, implementing analytic solutions and managing risk for the organization. In their most recent role as Director of Data Science at Banregio, Verenice led a team of Data Scientists to identify business opportunities and optimize revenue performance. Verenice also worked as a Data Science Manager at Banregio's commercial area, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve growth in retail portfolios and apply machine learning techniques for marketing efforts.

Verenice Amante completed their Licentiate degree in Actuarial Science at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México from 2002 to 2007. Verenice then pursued a Postgraduate Degree in Econometric Dynamic Models at the same institution from 2010 to 2011. Later, in 2012 to 2013, Verenice obtained another Postgraduate Degree in Risk Management from Universidad Anáhuac. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including a Crash Course on Python, Convolutional Neural Networks, Programa Especializado - Deep Learning, Sequence Models, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter Tuning, Regularization and Optimization, Structuring Machine Learning Projects, Neural Networks and Deep Learning, and First Certificate in English.
