Shawn Hinton has seven years of work experience. In 2017, they began working as an Undergraduate Research Assistant for the Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University (Food Science Department). In 2018, they took on the role of Product Developer for the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Research Service (ARS). In 2019, they became a Food Scientist for the Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University (Food Science Department). In 2020, they took on the role of Summer Research Intern for the National Summer Undergraduate Research Project, as well as Manager for Oakwood Farms Bistro. In 2021, they became a Food Scientist & Quality Assurance Manager for TriLabs Manufacturing. Most recently in 2022, they began working as a Product Operations Coordinator for Banza.
Shawn Hinton obtained an Associate's degree in General Studies from Calhoun Community College between 2014 and 2016. Shawn then attended Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University, graduating in 2020 with a Bachelor's degree in Food Science. In October 2021, they received a certification in HACCP for Food Processors and Manufacturers from the International HACCP Alliance.
