Sylvia Sanders Sp

Sylvia Sanders MA SPHR has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of human resources. Sylvia has held various leadership roles in different organizations, starting from their role as a Research Coordinator at Parkside Associates in 1987. Sylvia later worked as a Research Fellow at the U.S. Army Research Institute and as a Consultant at Applied Human Resources Consultants, Inc. In 1998, Sylvia became the Human Resource Manager at VIA Internet Studio, Inc. and was responsible for developing HR policies, benefits programs, and performance review processes. Sylvia then worked as a Human Resource Manager at The Home Depot and as the Director of Human Resources at the Commonwealth of Kentucky. In 2007, they became the Director of Human Resources and Organizational Development at Würth Snider, overseeing HR functions across multiple locations. Sylvia also served as the Group Head of Human Resources at System Solutions of Kentucky and as an Independent Consultant, offering HR strategy, recruitment, and change management services. Most recently, they became the Vice President of Human Resources at The Bardstown Bourbon Company, where they focus on innovation and creating an authentic bourbon experience. Overall, Sylvia has demonstrated expertise in various aspects of HR, including recruitment, leadership development, policy development, and change management.

Sylvia Sanders MA SPHR obtained their M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Western Kentucky University. Prior to that, they received a B.A. in Psychology from the same institution. Additionally, they completed the Honors Program - College Prep at Sacred Heart Academy. In terms of certifications, Sylvia obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) Certification from HRCI in January 2007. Sylvia also became an Executive Bourbon Steward from Moonshine University in April 2022 and a Kentucky Distillers' Association Leadership Academy Graduate from the Kentucky Distillers' Association in November 2022.
