Thomas Day has over 25 years of work experience in various roles within the construction industry. Thomas started their career at Vaponics, Inc. as an Autocad Drafter from 1990 to 1994. Thomas then worked at J.F. White Contracting Co. as an Engineer from 1996 to 1998. In 1998, they joined Barletta Engineering Corp./Barletta Heavy Division, Inc. where they held multiple positions including Estimator, Estimator & Project Manager, Design Build Proposal Manager, Project Manager, and Director of Estimating. In their most recent role as Director of Estimating, they reported directly to the Owner/President and Vice President of the firm, overseeing the estimation process for projects ranging from a few million dollars to hundreds of millions of dollars. Throughout their career, Thomas has been responsible for project management, communication with stakeholders, project procurement, closeout, and safety. Thomas has also contributed to the preparation of proposals and cost estimates.

Thomas Day has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering, which they obtained from Northeastern University between 1993 and 1996. Prior to that, they attended Massasoit Community College, where they earned an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Architecture from 1987 to 1989. In addition to their formal education, Thomas also holds a Massachusetts Construction Supervisor - Unrestricted certification, which they obtained from the Massachusetts Department of Public Safety in June 1989.
