Okan Hazar completed their Associate's Degree in Hotel Management at Marmara University in Istanbul, Turkey from 1992 to 1994. Okan then pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business Administration & Hotel Management from the University of New Hampshire, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. Following this, Okan Hazar enrolled in Boston University and obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Economics, completing their studies from 2000 to 2002.
