Ethan Mathew is currently a Graduate Research Assistant at Barrow Neurological Institute, where research focuses on MRI technologies and muscle imaging under the supervision of Dr. Chad Quarles. Key contributions include the development and optimization of MRI sequences, implementation of preclinical studies on ALS using diffusion MRI, and analysis of diffusion MRI related to brain cancer. Prior experience includes roles as a Research Assistant at Massachusetts General Hospital, where EEG was analyzed for measuring patient effort, and at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, where real-time blood flow measurement methods were investigated. Ethan Mathew holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering, a Master of Science in Biomedical/Medical Engineering, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering, all from Arizona State University.
