Shima Shahjouei

Shima Shahjouei is a dedicated medical professional currently serving as a Resident Physician at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center since July 2023 and as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Barrow Neurological Institute since August 2022. Shahjouei's previous experience includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship at The University of New Mexico, a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position at Geisinger, and work as a General Practitioner in private clinics. Shahjouei's earlier academic involvement includes a Research Fellow role at Tehran University of Medical Sciences and various research assistant roles at Geisinger and The University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Educationally, Shahjouei holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and a Master's degree in International Public Health/International Health from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, along with a diploma in Natural Sciences from Farzanegan High School.
