Mathieu Vandevelde

Mathieu Vandevelde has a diverse work experience in the field of automation engineering. Mathieu started their career as a Junior Automation Engineer at Alvey Group in 2010 before moving on to DB Engineering, where they worked as an Automation Engineer on various projects in the food and metal industries. In 2012, they returned to Alvey Group, where they eventually became the Automation Engineering Manager. In this role, they led a team of around 25 people, providing guidance, coaching, and project management skills to achieve successful projects. During their time at Alvey Group, they focused on standardization and setting up the future direction for the department. In 2019, Mathieu joined Barry Callebaut Group as the Global OT Security Lead, responsible for overseeing OT security initiatives.

Mathieu Vandevelde has a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Ontwerptechnieken from Howest Kortrijk campus PIH, which they obtained from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Elektronica at Katho campus Kortrijk departement VHTI from 2005 to 2008. Mathieu'seducation history also includes attending VTI Sint Lucas Oudenaarde from 1999 to 2005, where they studied Elektriciteit - Elektronica. In addition to their formal education, Mathieu Vandevelde has also obtained certifications in Green belt Six Sigma and Lean thinking from The Lean Six Sigma Company. Mathieu also holds a VCA certification.
